A reputable company in Kumasi that sells home appliances and general goods is seeking an experienced Account Officer to join its team. The Account Officer plays a key role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization by preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and assisting with audits.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions such as receipts, invoices, and payments.
• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts on a regular basis.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
• Ensure timely payment of statutory and other expenses.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documents and explanations. Provide support during audits, tax filing, and year-end closing activities.
• Safeguard sensitive financial information and ensure confidentiality.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Account Officer or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with payroll management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
