should ever have to drive an unsafe car because they can’t afford maintenance or find the right
maintenance partner. So every waking hour we obsess about reducing the cost of car ownership
for car owners in Africa. We achieve this by working with global parts distributors, mechanic
shops, insurance companies and fleet owners and by building innovative software solutions to
reduce the cost of parts and help customers find the right maintenance partner.
As a Sr. Operations Lead, you will help design and implement business operations to fuel
Garages growth. Successful candidates in this role will have strong business acumen, a robust
data analytics background and experience working in the automotive after sales sector. This role
requires you to be based in the greater Accra region.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Manage field pod leaders to achieve growth goals for Garage across Ghana
• Partner with founders to develop best in class operational model for Garage’s business
  operations across all business lines
• Oversee operations of Garage model mechanic shops
• Develop effective collections process to maximize repayment of inventory by channel
  partners, reduce credit exposure and outstanding receivables. This includes billing,
  handling disputes, payment channels, communication of outstanding bills to mechanics
  etc.
• Partner with Products and Engineering teams to drive technology enabled solutions
  across all operational processes
• Source, onboard and train new pod leaders across the organization
• Work alongside founders to develop mechanic shop partner branding strategy
• Collaborate with business intelligence lead to develop model for tiering of channel
  partners based on transactional history and business performance.
•  Collaborate with business intelligence lead to develop and implement omni-channel
  strategy for Garage
• Work with pod leaders to achieve collections, sales and growth targets across all clusters
• Visit all channel partners regularly to understand customer pain points and build strong
  relationships with partners
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
•  Report weekly performance of ops team to senior leaders
• Collaborate with sales, customer success and other business units to build, maintains and
  manage relationship with other partners (wholesalers, distributors, fleet managers, etc)
• Develop and test new strategies to optimize Garage operations for maximum growth
• Document all operational processes
• Complete other duties as requested by leaders

QUALIFICATIONS (Basic):

• Bachelors degree in finance, business, operations
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience the data analytics and reporting tools such as excel, tableau, R
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams
• 3+ years experience working in automotive sector specifically after sales
• Understanding of financial statements
•  Strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences in automotive sector
• Strong understanding of market for home used, new branded and new generic parts
• Strong business acumen
• Detailed oriented and organized
•  Street smart and resourceful
• Superior problem solving skills
• Excellent communicator (verbal, text, email)

Preferred qualifications:

• Master degree in Business or operations
• Experience working in operations at a startup
• 3+ years experience working in the automotive after sales sector
