Operations Manager

Overview

A fast growing fast food franchise is looking for an experienced Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day supervision of all operations in regards to business processes, equipment & facilities related to food production within the company. He or she shall also be responsible for the maintenance of the restaurant and office facilities and equipment in order to improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies.


What You Will Do

  1. Supervise all food production units and processes ensuring compliance to all company policies
  2. Ensuring effective maintenance of all facilities systems and equipment
  3. Ensure vehicles are always in safe and in good working conditions
  4. Responsible for all procurement related to equipment and infrastructure
  5. Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
  6. Ensure utilities such as water, electricity, gas etc. are always available for continuous workflow
  7. Assist in developing and training new staff
  8. Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations
  9. Preparing operating reports including budgets for facilities and equipment
  10. Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  11. Coordinating building security and maintenance issues
  12. Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  13. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards with regards to equipment and infrastructure
  14. Ensure that facility safety tools such as First Aid boxes and Fire extinguishers are readily available and accessible to staff in case of any emergency
  15. Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency of operations
  16. Any other responsibilities that may be necessary, within reason

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Previous working experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Applicable knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Good Computer skills
  • Precise attention to details
  • Quick and effective problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask
