A reputable private Health Care Facility is seeking to employ a Medicine Counter Assistant to work with.

What You Will Do

1. Dispense prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of licensed pharmacist.
2. Counts pills, labels bottles, prices, and compounds medications to prepare prescriptions for patients as directed.
3. Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory.
4. Gather, organise, and assesse patient information.
5. Supplie patients with information and education on their prescriptions.
6. Monitor prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy policies.
7. Liaise with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information.
8. Answer patients’ questions about their medications under the supervision of the pharmacist.
9. Take inventory of drugs on hand and records results.
10. Place orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacist.
11. Maintain electronic patient information.
12. Prepare billing information for medications.
13. Complete patients’ sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products.
