The HO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY Ho, Volta Region, Ghana and the CUTS  open for submission into Assistant Research Fellows

Established in 1983 as a voice of the poor to express their developmental needs and aspirations, CUTS International (CUTS Accra seeks a dynamic self-starter to assist in research efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience for current or recent masters’ students while working for an international organization.

What You Will Do

1. Supporting the field research team under the direct supervision of Senior Research Officers or the team Leader assigned.
2. Work on election projects and other projects that may be assigned from time to time.
3. Supervision and guidance to any temporary support staff assigned to specific research projects
   Writing reports on the progress and completion of projects and other assignments.
4. Support the election Monitoring & Evaluation team to track election-related activities other related duties will be under the general direction of the Head of Research & Programmes.
5. Other related duties will be under the general direction of the Head of Research & Programmes

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• Minimum of first degree in Social Sciences, Political Science or a related field
• At least 1 year working experience in a political science related field
• Knowledge of and experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including survey design and data analysis
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and abmty to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and adhere to deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of an intemationalleam
  Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to prepare clear and coherent reports
• Excellent skills in the following software – MS Office, SPSS or any other statistical package
• Candidate should be available for local and international travels
• Must have demonstrable interest in democracy and development in Africa in general and Ghana in particular
