A growing IT company is looking for a young and motivated Sales Professional to join our young and
talented Business Operations Team. As a Marketing & Sales Analyst, you will act as a lead to prospective
clients on the organisation’s cyber security products and services for both local and international market/opportunities. You will directly interface with customers, IT, and Management Teams by actively
driving and managing the evaluation stage of the sales process, working in tandem with the Business Operations and Technical Departments.
You will partner closely with the Business Operations Team throughout the end-to-end sales cycle to
qualify sales opportunities with regard to customer requirements, competition, and the decision-making
process. Through strong, developed relationships with the client’s Business, IT staff, and Management
Executives, you will leverage your technical knowledge of the solutions and benefits for the market, to
articulate technology and solution positioning to both business and technical users, as well as ensure
customer satisfaction through the sales cycle.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is comfortable working in a fast-paced technology
environment to achieve sales targets.


What You Will Do

  1. Oversee research, sales and marketing of products and services of the organisation.
  2. Meet with prospective clients, understand service requirements, demonstrate service to clients, and demonstrate technical capabilities of the organisation to prospective clients.
  3. Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to customers and at other field events such as conferences, seminars, exhibitions, etc. that require more in-depth or credible knowledge of the product.
  4. Play a key role in identifying and pursuing leads, converting the leads into opportunities, planning, owning and executing contracts.
  5. Systematically track all business engagements in relation to assigned portfolio including Micro
    Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), etc. on the organisation’s Customer Relationship
    Management (CRM) platform.
  6. Conduct regular research on sales competition and be able to develop an understanding of the current & future market, product and competitor landscape, and apply technology to business case scenarios.
  7. Develop smart product and service proposals for distribution to target institutions.
  8. Address critical, analytical, technical, and operational issues on the organisation’s products and services for clients.
  9. Respond to functional and operational elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  10. Liaise with the Head of Business Operations to provide feedback from clients about product requirements, and ideas to help innovate or stay ahead of the market.
  11. Submit month and quarterly reports on sales performance on technology solutions and otherproducts of the organisation.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Minimum of First Degree in Sales/Marketing, Project Management and related programmes.
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales/consulting role preferred.
  • Experience in an analytical role
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical, non-technical personnel and top executives.
  • 3-5+ years’ sales experience with technical software offerings is a must.
  • Project management and proposal writing skills.
  • Resides in Accra.
  • Strong client-facing skills, e.g. meeting and presenting to clients (both in-person and through virtual platforms with great skills in dealing with contact)
  • Good knowledge of the technology/cybersecurity space.
  • Strong commercial skills including an understanding of the sales process (ideally gained within a similar, software or technology commercial environment).
  • Strong communication skills, written & verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including an ability to think ‘on their feet’ when faced with challenging questions in the sales environment.
  • Experience managing the bid or proposal process including responding to RFI’s/RFP’s.
  • Technical skills with technology/cybersecurity products
  • Excellent teamwork and report writing capabilities.
