Overview

We are looking for a neatly-presented chauffeur to join our company. The chauffeur’s responsibilities include fetching clients, driving them to specified locations, and ensuring that the vehicle remains in excellent condition. You should also aid clients with the loading and unloading of their personal belongings. Also known as personal drivers, chauffeurs collect and transport clients between locations. Chauffeurs generally offer their services to high-income individuals or companies.

To be successful as a chauffeur, you should be able to resolve clients’ queries and complaints promptly. Ultimately, an outstanding chauffeur will ensure that the vehicle remains furnished with items that might be of use to clients.

Duties

•  Under the supervision of the DCM’s Office Management Specialist, incumbent is responsible for the operation of Front Office vehicles, to transport the DCM, Ambassador or Charge’. Jobholder ensures vehicle performs efficiently to provide services to front office as well as VIP visitors.
• Ensuring that the client’s door is open as you greet them in a professional, sincere manner.
• Assisting clients with the loading and unloading of their possessions, as required.
• Adjusting the air temperature, if required by the client.
• Selecting the fastest routes based on GPS software and traffic updates, unless otherwise instructed.
• Completing collections and deliveries on behalf of the client, if requested.
•  Keeps assigned vehicle clean and serviceable condition and performs minor preventive maintenance.
• Abiding by road regulations at all times.
• Ensuring that the vehicle remains pristine and in excellent working order.
• Forecasting and responding to customers’ questions and concerns.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• A minimum of five years’ experience as a chauffeur in a large organization or in an executive office is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

•  A good knowledge of the city and alternate routes to Ghana’s government ministries and agencies and all diplomatic and international organization.
•  Must have full knowledge of Department of State regulations regarding the operation of a motor vehicle.
•  Possess thorough knowledge of the traffic laws, and the streets of Accra. A general knowledge about the road systems in Ghana is required.

LANGUAGE

•  Good working knowledge of English (Spoken/reading/written) is required.
•  Must have the ability to speak at least one Ghanaian local language. (Language proficiency will be tested).
