As a Cashier, you are to ensure prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers products, promotions. You will also respond to complaints and maintain a clean workspace.

You should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. It is required of you to be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers, answering their questions, providing advice or recommendations.
• Operating counting machine, cash registers, computer, and other electronics.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
• Attentively listen to customer complaints and resolve them as appropriate and acceptable per company policy
• Maintaining a clean workspace.

Requirements:

• At least SSCE/ WASSCE or Diploma in any relevant field.
• Experience in bulk cash handling and 2 years’ experience in accounts, cashier or teller work
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
