A reputable company wishes to announce a vacant position for permanent BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST.

Job Description
Summary/Objective
The role is responsible for identifying, gathering, understanding and translating business requirements and operational challenges into formal workflow processes and software application solutions in alignment with business strategies. This role will document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to link overall business strategies.

Essential Functions

  • Engage with all functional areas of the business to fully understand their operations, identify system challenges and make software and process recommendations to solve those challenges
  • Collaborate to improve business performance by studying current practices/processes and designing modifications to them
  • Engage internal stakeholders to fully capture and document processes/workflows with flow charts, diagrams and other appropriate tools/methods
  • Design new applications in collaboration with the whole technology team by analyzing requirements, studying system capabilities and determining resource restrictions
  • Communicate all requirements to the in-house development team or external partners
  • Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation and training users
  • Determine and track key metrics to provide insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of processes to facilitate management decision, and ensure that we are meeting agreed service levels
  • Share issues, risks, inconsistencies and problems, and facilitate and negotiate alternative solutions and activities
  • Extract reports and provide a high-level analysis of data for review

Educational Requirement

  • At least 3-5 years’ work experience as a Business Analyst, on large and complex projects
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business or computer science related subject with high level of competence with MS Office
  • Certification in Lean/Six Sigma; PMP or BPM is desirable

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties
  • Change management
  • Proven experience to evaluate alternative solutions (e.g. out-of-the-box software packages)
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
  • A strong interest in business and business development
  • A good understanding of information technology
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong skills in Process Mapping, Business Process Reengineering and Project Management
  • Excellent documentation skills
