Business Development Officer at A Reputable Media House

Overview

A reputable media house based in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana seeks to employ a Business Development Officer to join the team. We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Officer to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales. The Business Development Officer’s responsibilities include identifying company products and services that are underperforming, developing an in-depth knowledge of company offerings, pricing, and policies, and improving existing sales proposals. You should also ensure that the company is able to achieve revenue targets.

What You Will Do

  1. Identifying, prioritizing, and closing new consumers in order to meet the business’s ad sales revenue and profit targets.
  2. Developing and sustaining solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
  3. Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
  4. Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
  5. Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
  6. Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits.
  7. Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
  8. Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.
  9. Develop and manage partner and sponsor relationships including preparing promotional and sponsor presentations and materials.
  10. Maintain Customer Service channels
  11. Any other tasks and duties as may be assigned.

Experience, Knowledge & Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, business development or commercial management.
  • Strong knowledge in a media, advertising, radio, television and events management landscape
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Social Science, or Business Administration and/ or related fields
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel as needed.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
