Overview

A reputable company is looking to hire a broadcast technician for a position based in Accra.

What You Will Do

1. Up-linking and support of new channels unto the platform mostly via internet, cloud based.
2. Preview scheduled programs to ensure that signals are functioning and programs are ready for transmission.
3. Report equipment problems, and ensure that repairs are made; make emergency repairs to equipment when necessary and possible.
4. Effectively troubleshoot and diagnose Television station technical issues and problems quickly and methodically.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• HND/ Degree in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering or electronic engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a related field.
• Knowledge in setting up encoders with output MPEG-TS over IP
• Knowledge in computer software email and hardware installations, Team-viewer and networking (Cisco switches and routers).
• Knowledge and experience with Television studio production, video servers, broadcast automation, master control room set up Ability to isolate and resolve technical problems with facility broadcast systems.
• Troubleshooting and solving equipment and signal problems.
• Punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and follow documentation
• Respectfulness and care for customers
• Speaking and listening skills are essential
• Excellent computer skills are also essential for many tasks, including programming equipment.
