A reputable poultry farm dedicated to the supply of eggs and broilers to the Ghanaian public is recruiting an experienced, hardworking, qualified and motivated individual as a Full-time Assistant Poultry Farm Manager.

Job Description:

• Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) day-to-day management of layer and broiler chickens.
• Monitoring bird performance.
• Poultry house setup and barn clean out and disinfection.
• Facility and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor animal health and welfare, including liaising with vets.
• Maintaining knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Diploma in Agriculture from an Agricultural College.
• A Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science and/or extensive related experience is an asset.
• Experience in a similar role for more than two years will be an added advantage.
• The ideal candidate will have at last 3 years’ experience in a busy poultry production establishment.
• Experience in animal husbandry is desirable.
