Telecommunication is the backbone of information technology. The Telecom & Systems Manager/Engineer is responsible for the security, design, performance of computer networks and the integration of all telecom services and devices. He/She is the specialist who takes care by troubleshooting to client’s issue including its application deployment on their devices.

He/She deals with hardware & software installations and maintenance of the wireless devices, router, network, cable, optical fiber and many more for better productivity.

What You Will Do

1. Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer is an expert in managing the overall data network such as calls, video, voice and messages over different modes of communication.
2. The Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer is to design and install the telecommunications equipment and make sure that the data is transmitted appropriately.
3. He/She is responsible for using his/ her technical expertise to support senior management in all the technical process.
4. Design, install and troubleshoot the telecommunication networks or systems
5. Work with complex network and switching systems to ensure smooth transmission of data by configuring the networks
6. Assess technical issues pertaining to computer, network and server and resolve same
7. With the growth of digital strategy, the Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer assists the customer either on the field or site for best connectivity ranging from creating basic circuit design to deploy the wireless network in the field
8. The Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of telecom equipment and facilities, such as complex electronic switches, broadband data services and satellite communications
9. The Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer serves as development or processes engineer in the strategy and application of essential communications systems, such as public safety digital microwave, radio, Wide Area Networks (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), copper, and fiber-optic network. It also involves intra-building cabling, speech, audiovisual, security, call center, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) where applicable and supports the telecom infrustructure
10. He/She conducts engineering research to find if present systems and devices can be extended or revised to meet present and future telecom requirement of an organization or consumer service. He/She ensures new conditions of telecommunications to fulfill the requirements
11. He/She prepares physical layout plan for proper communication system site infrastructure and support systems and manages the fitting of the essential devices
12. The Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer performs engineering surveys of telecommunications structures to ensure the effective operation of such telecom systems
13. He/She designs floating and underground cableways and gets permits and essential clearances for construction

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• The Technical & Systems Manager/Engineer posseses engineering degree in electronic or Telecommunications.Masters is an advantage
• Has the vital knowledge of telecom operations with an attitude to learn and adjust. The domain of telecommunications system is ever fluctuating hence to be able to acclimatize to new tools is a must in this job role.
• Has the ability to categorize and analyze issues of the present telecommunications systems so that engineer can find the most real ways of decreasing and removing future difficulties for better-quality communication levels
• Has analytical mindset, innovative and systematic problem solving skills with excellent attention and calculation skills. He/She is a combined expert and good speaker with interpersonal intellect plus the capability to work well with others
• Responsible for building a telecom system or equipment which involves preparation of the plan, strategy and also align the hardware and software needs to attain the preferred telecommunication system. He/She manages engineering project with suggestions to outline goals, classify scope, background and requirement and also estimate the pricing of the equipment, parts, and services
