Sales Supervisor

OVERVIEW

Our client, an FMCG company based in Ghana is looking to recruit a highly passionate and self-motivated Regional Sales Supervisor to join the team.

ROLE:

The purpose of the role is to develop sales plans, strategies and policies with a view to increasing market share and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for primary and secondary sales of all the direct distributors and trade channels.
  • Have effective implementation and monitoring mechanisms to ensure achievement of the sales plans and strategies.
  •  Formulate policies and guidelines for smooth functioning and satisfaction of channel partners like dealers, distributors and wholesalers/retailers.
  • Design a detailed RTM plan for each area based on the demographic, trade and economic landscape.
  • Effective execution of RTM agenda in each area through an accelerated change management process and resource allocation.
  •  Measure the effectiveness of every RTM initiative and do course corrections if needed.
  • Develop and execute Best in Class Standard Operating Procedure for sales redistribution, deployment and execution for the region.
  •  Appoint key distributors using specified, tested and measurable processes.
  • Evolve policies for establishing robust field force monitoring and people management.
  • Managing the complete sales cycle from business development and customer acquisition to receipt of payments.
  • Training and development of sales team.
  • Van sales management-designing routes/allocating manpower/Warehouse Management
  • Planning and executing the trade marketing initiatives for the region.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  •  Meeting sales targets and objectives.
  • Market share growth-Strengthening and expanding distribution network
  • Identification and development of new markets.
  • Implementation of initiatives and sales marketing strategies, retail strategy, modern, trade, institutional sales.
  • Set and implement clear distribution enhancement targets and plans.
  • Track the channel and route profitability and recommend way forward.
  • Work with the field teams on coverage, distribution expansion and set clear benchmarks.
  • Numeric expansion master plan and the way forward to achieve it.
  • Work with the reporting managers to develop and agree overall trade strategy and RTM opportunities.
  • Hygiene check of the team and channel partners.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of experience in this field. Must have driven a team of 10.
  • FMCG industry background is a plus.
