What You Will Do

1. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies
2. Implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls across the organization
3. Monitor and evaluate risk exposures and report on risk management performance
4. Develop risk management training programs and educate employees on risk management best practices
5. Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines
6. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement risk mitigation plans
7. Conduct regular audits and reviews of risk management processes to ensure the effectiveness
8. Provide regular reports to senior management on risk management activities
9. Assess and mitigate the risks associated with new or changed products, services, and business.
10. Ensure that Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans, processes and procedures are up-to-date and are followed.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management in the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of risk management techniques and principles.
• Exposure to risk management in IT systems, business processes, and operations
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines per Bank of Ghana.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Professional certification in risk management or related field is a plus
