Role Summary

You will be responsible for building an e-commerce store, sourcing products, and managing inventory on the Shopify platform.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop an online Shopify e-commerce store
• Create new Shopify themes and customize the existing templates
• Collaborate with UX and UI design teams to develop robust, and innovative user experiences
• Ensure connectivity with platform APIs, marketing tools, and Shopify apps to optimize performance
• Perform regular testing and debugging of the applications
• Optimize the Shopify store for better conversion rates

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of experience as a Shopify developer 
• Proficiency in front-end development technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience working with Liquid, Ruby on Rails, PHP, JSON, and REST APIs
• Experience working with Docker, MySQL, Go and Nginx 
• Expertise in creating web designs and user interfaces (UI)
• Expertise in developing payment gateways and inventories
• Experience working with Google Analytics
• Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
• Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce
