Role & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Regional Tax Manager who will be the owner of all tax related matters of the African business in order to create and implement tax plans and ensuring compliance with local and international tax law and company policies and strategies.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for tax reporting, tax returns and completion of tax forms in a timely manner that ensures all information and data requests are handled professionally
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for business across Africa
• Prepare tax provision schedules for business across Africa
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments in order to ensure the company compliance in all African countries that we operate in
• Review processes, identify and mitigate tax risks in the area of business across Africa
• Manage and coordinate tax audits in the Africa region
• Maintain tax balances on general ledger

Requirements 
Required Education & Experience:

• At least 5-8 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
• Relevant Degree, e.g. Master of Law, Business Administration or Commercial Law, Accounting or Auditing
• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
• Fluent in English. French would be beneficial
• Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
• Analytical skills with detail orientation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Open mindset, proactiveness, team work
