A quality supervisor is a professional who manages and implements the quality assurance and control systems of a company to ensure the proper execution of products and customer satisfaction. Quality supervisors oversee a team of quality control analysts and train them on the latest product standards .Quality control analysts are specialists who ensure that a company’s products and the materials used in manufacturing them meet the required standards. They test materials and finished goods to ensure that they meet production standards and might reject items not meeting standards.

Today, with a turnover of around 1 billion euros and a team of 2400 employees, GBfoods is present in Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, CIS Republics, in 30 countries in Africa and the Middle East through prestigious brands as Gallina Blanca, Star, Jumbo, Grand’Italia and Gino. This position will support production via the provision of technical analytical and microbiological services and skills, by carrying out analytical and microbiological analysis according to sampling plans in order to fulfill customer expectations.

Result / Accountabilities

  • Responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products.
  • Experience with ISO 22000 standard and able to design an internal GMP checklist, ensuring food safety and reducing non-conformity.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), food safety (HACCP) and product quality standards are enforced
  • Oversee all audits (internal and external)
  • Ensure acceptable quality standards of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite or related software. (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, etc.)
  • Able to build and support a food safety culture.
  • Perform root cause analysis and investigations for customer complaints, non-conformances, and quality failures
  • Identifies quality defects and food safety issues and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends solutions to these issues.
  • Experience with HACCP, Halal, FSSC22000 certification
  • Implement, train, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality prior to release from factory.
  • Assess training needs and ensure regular trainings for all personnel.

Qualification/ Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate’s with experience in the field.
  • Technical proficiency must be able to use computers and generate reports.
  • Ability to analyze data and create and review processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A desire to help others achieve their best.
  • Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
  • Eye for details.
