POS Technician

Overview

A POS technician is a trained professional who is involved in the day-to-day operation of technology applications and equipment related to point-of-sale (POS) systems. POS systems are used to process transactions in retail, hospitality, and other industries.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring POS hardware and software
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with POS systems and peripherals
  • Performing upgrades, backups, and maintenance tasks
  • Providing technical support and customer service
  • Developing and testing POS applications

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • MS SQL 2 Server knowledge of Query writing, writing store procedures or function calls
  • Basic Windows 10 and Windows Server troubleshooting/networking.
  • Worked with POS printers /desktop hardware
  • Able to provide product training when required
  • Knowledge of Business processes like Purchase, Sales, Inventory, Transfer
  • Identify problems and requirements, analyze operational procedures, and develop business process solutions
  • Android OS background would be an advantage.
  • Good Communication Skills in English .
  • Good communication skills in French will be an advantage
