Mining Technical Sales

Overview

To promote, support, and give technical advice on ground support products to the mining industry across Africa and to realize the company’s sales and profitability targets. Regular customer visits to existing customers, develop, Grow and target New Customer base in West Africa regions.


What You Will Do

  1. Establish strong and functional customer relationships
  2. Accurate sales forecasting
  3. Consistent achievement of monthly sales targets
  4. Drive opportunities across the region of the assigned region
  5. Providing continuous and accurate feedback to the Sales Lead
  6. Provide market intelligence on customers and competitors
  7. Deliver product application training
  8. Remain knowledgeable on customer concerns on the ground on a day to day basis
  9. Ensure that the company is professionally represented at all times
  10. Efficient management of confidential/intellectual company property
  11. Elimination/reduction of Customer complaints
  12. Customer Complaints to be addressed per internal procedure as aligned to ISO standards
  13. To ensure excellent customer service
  14. Maintain/Gain the company’s preferred provider status
  15. Willing to travel into Surrounding African Countries (x2) per month
  16. Implement New BD initiatives and Grow our product basket

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Minimum Qualification: Others
  • Experience Level: Senior level
  • Experience Length: 5 years
  • Post matric Mining/Rock Mechanic/Geotechnical qualifications or a Mine Oversee Certificate
  • Financial Management experience
  • Ground support product knowledge
  • Proven track record in meeting/exceeding set sales targets
  • Sales training course would be advantageous
  • Proof of being fit to work underground (Red Ticket)
  • Negotiation skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Valid passport and relevant driver’s license – (Own Vehicle)
  • Results Orientation
  • Ability to motivate
  • Ability to analyze data and transfer it into action plans
