Lead Field Trainer

Overview

As a Lead Field Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of training programs for our project. You will oversee the planning, development, and execution of field training activities, ensuring that our implementing partners are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve project objectives. Your leadership and training expertise will be essential in driving the project’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Program Development:
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to design and develop comprehensive field training programs tailored to the specific needs of implementing partners.
    • Create training materials, modules, and assessment criteria.
  2. Training Delivery:
    • Lead and facilitate on-site training sessions for staff of implementing partners.
    • Ensure the effective transfer of knowledge and skills to participants.
    • Provide hands-on guidance and support during training activities.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Regularly collect and analyze data on participant performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate closely with implementing partners to ensure alignment with project goals and strategies.
    • Foster positive relationships and open communication channels.
  5. Documentation:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of training materials, attendance records, and evaluation results.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports to project management.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor junior trainers and field training staff, providing guidance and support.
    • Coordinate and delegate tasks within the training team.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously assess training programs and identify areas for enhancement.
    • Work with project management to implement necessary adjustments.
  8. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that training activities adhere to project guidelines, quality standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Training and Development, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices in project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using training and data analysis tools and software.
  • Familiarity with the local context and cultures of the project’s target region is advantageous.
