Overview

A reputable company located in Bolgatanga enclave is seeking for an Interpreter (Chinese to English) for a project. Reporting directly to the Chairman, the Project Interpreter provides accurate translations from Chinese to English to the Chairman, CEO, and across the teams. This position will be site-based, however, during the project phase, it is expected that significant time may be spent in Accra and Bolgatanga office.

Job Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Assist executives in daily work management, arrange and implement various internal and external meetings, activities, and travel trips involving executives.
  • Acting as a Chinese/English translator for executives.
  • Assist in arranging and organizing various meetings and activities of the senior management team, and drafting minutes during meetings.
  • Compile report materials in Chinese and English according to work needs.
  • Assist executives on the business side to promote business or projects, and coordinate and maintain internal and external public relations.
  • Follow up the tasks assigned by the leader to ensure the smooth implementation of the affairs.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with excellent English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills.
  • Good at Chinese and English writing.
  • More than two years of secretarial and translation work experience.
  • Have affinity, have a good professional attitude, and a sense of service, and have a team spirit.
  • Have excellent communication skills, organization and coordination skills, strong execution, a strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with common office software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Those with working experience in the foreign mining industry, executive secretaries, and translators of multinational companies are preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve safety awareness in a large, mixed-culture working force.
