ICT Manager at National Banking College

National Banking College in its bid to enhance its human capital base is hereby inviting interested persons to apply for the following: ICT Manager

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Serve as backup to ICT faculty Head
  • Monitor and control the quality of teaching programs with particular attention to course content
  • Support the Business Development Unit-with proposals on further training needs in the Banking sector in the area of ICT in banking
  • Support in the preparation of budgets
  • Advise faculty on relevant software applications
  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department
  • Select and implement suitable technology to stream line all internal operations and help optimise their strategic benefits
  • Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve internal and external customer experience
  • Review the procurement plan for technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with It providers
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the College to ensure optimal performance
  • Organise IT-related projects
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the college can gain competitive advantage

Qualification Required & Experience

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in computer engineering, management information systems or other related field
  • Must have held senior management position for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be a practitioner with experience in the financial sector, local/international or both
  • Must be in tune with the emerging trends in banking systems
  • Demonstrated exposure and passion for learning and development in the banking industry
  • Must have varied experience in management and teaching
  • Coordination of the deployment of systems for practical use by stakeholders
  • Certification in any relevant ICT programs

Competencies

As the Manager of the ICT Unit you must be seen to have the following:

  • Expertise in facilitation and presentation to adult learners
  • Expertise in researching on trends in the ICT sector for Banking and Financial sector
  • Organizational skills for change management
  • Monitor feedback from participants and change dynamics of the programs for better delivery performance
  • Project management skills to implement strategic changes as required
