HR Officer at A Reputable Company

Overview

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager who will recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and you’ll contribute to making the firm a better place to work and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.

The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers, and create a work environment that is accountable, productive and pleasant.

What You Will Do

  1. Plan and coordinate the workforce to best use employees’ talents
  2. Resolve issues between management and employees
  3. Advise managers on policies like equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment
  4. Coordinate and supervise the work of specialists and staff
  5. Oversee recruitment and hiring process
  6. Direct disciplinary procedures
  7. Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and systems
  8. Provide counseling on policies and procedures
  9. Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  10. Create and implement effective onboarding plans
  11. Develop training and development programs
  12. Assist in performance management processes
  13. Facilitate and manage the company culture
  14. Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  15. Compensation and benefits administration, consistent with federal regulations
  16. Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  17. Oversee and manage the companies relationship with government agencies in all areas related to Human Resources
  18. Execute other responsibilities as necessary (this is a startup, must be able to operate in a cross-functional environment)

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • BSc/BA in a relevant field; other fields welcome but contingent on experience.  Further training will be a plus
  • HR Credentials is a plus
