General Manager

Overview

At Digi-Prints we specialise in the production of photo-books, calendars, business cards, ID cards,  name badges, menus, brochures, photos, passport/ ID photos, large format, posters & canvas prints, cards and a range of personalised/ customised photo-gifts (such as mugs, t-shirts, baseball caps, mouse mats, place mats & coasters, pin badges (buttons), pocket mirrors, key rings, fridge magnets, clocks and more)

To facilitate and further business growth  General Manager,  candidates must have a passion for marketing/ sales and computer literate (i.e., experience with using a computer and printer) have good communication skills, pay attention to detail with bags of common sense. Position comes with accommodation so candidates must be willing to relocate.

Newly qualified graduates who are quick learners and interested in learning and developing new skills will also be considered


The General Manager will be responsible for all Digi-Prints business operations, business development and growth of the business, including support of other businesses and ventures run by the director(s)

Summary of key responsibilities:

  • Business development (of products & services) – establish, manage & maintain relationships with Clients, Affiliates and Customers (bring in new business – clients, affiliates and customers)
  • Grow business and establish business continuity
  • Management of facebook and Instagram pages
  • Supervision and training of operation and/ production staff
  • Plan and coordinate production activities for order completion
  • Completion of customer orders (or samples) organise collection/ delivery of completed orders (or samples) to customers/ clients
  • Ensures compliance with Digi-Prints product quality standards for all customer orders
  • Management of stock levels and stock records (products and starting materials)
  • Maintenance (cleanliness) of equipment and premises
  • Maintenance of databases, as applicable
  • Invoicing and maintenance of sales records
  • Completes quality control (QC) checks during order completion and of finished/ completed orders (products)
  • Minimises waste, prevents errors and ensures continuous improvement and development of self and subordinates
  • Deputises for Manager
  • Deputises for other staff
  • Any other duties as required by the Manager (or Directors)

Education/ Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent vocational or relevant experience
  • IT (computer) literate, experience (good knowledge) of MS word, excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with the operation of a heat press, guillotine, table-top & portable photo cutters, laser printers & large-format inkjet printers and use of print media
  • Good coordination and cognitive skills and ability to work with hands
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, self-driven, creative, innovative and dependable
  • Trustworthy and ability to work harmoniously with others, build and maintain positive team & customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently without constant/ direct supervision
  • Demonstrates good attention to detail and has a high sense of quality
  • Target orientated and flexibility to adapt to changing situations and the ability to work under pressure, strategically plan, organise and manage multiple priorities simultaneously and not repeat mistakes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and good presentation skills
  • Fluent in written and verbal English. Fluency in Twi, Ga and other Ghanaian languages is desirable
