Overview

A reputable micro-lending firm is looking to hire the services of a Financial Manager who will be producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

What You Will Do

1. Monitor the daily/monthly/yearly financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions, tax calculation and return.
2. Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants.
3. Contact outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
4. Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
5. Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
6. Research and analyse financial reports and market trends.
7. Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
8. Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
9. Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.
10. Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
11. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
12. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• Advanced Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in a Finance role.
• Superior mathematical skills

• Good knowledge of Ghana tax policy.
