The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is a voluntary, not for profit organization that undertakes advocacy and service delivery in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Ghana. PPAG is a Member Association (MA) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It is governed by respectable volunteers who are the members of the Association. The Governing body, formulate policies which are implemented by staff.

The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), in close collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency with a mission to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled, hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant positions

- Bongo (Upper East) – Adolescent Girls Empowerment
- Wa (Upper West) – Child Marriage
- Sagnerigu (Nothern Region) – Child Marriage
Job Purpose:
To support Field Activity Implementation in the areas of Child Marriage and Adolescent Girls Empowerment
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage key community actors and institutions towards enlisting their support for the empowerment of adolescent girls and elimination of child marriages
- Conduct community entry to mobilize community members and solicit their support for the implementing community based activities
- Engage community actors to select adolescent volunteers to be trained as CSE facilitators and peer group leaders to facilitate CSE, Sista’s activities, and SGBV activities
- Identify and partner with SRHR service delivery facilities for the delivery of adolescent and youth friendly SRHR service through outreaches and within clinics
- Support youth volunteers to conduct various community levels education and awareness creation activities and campaigns towards reducing child marriage and promoting adolescent girls empowerment
- Form and operate Young & Wise Clubs for both in-and-out of school adolescents, especially girls
- Mobilize adolescent girls to participate in various SRHR activities including livelihood development sessions and CSE session in community spaces
- Identify and mobilize adolescent pregnant and parenting teens to access antenatal and postnatal service including post-partum contraception
Required Skills or Experience
- Community Health Nurses certificate holders with at least 1-year experience or national service with fieldwork experience
- Diploma in Social Work holders with at least 1-year experience or National Service with fieldwork experience
- SHS Graduates with at least 3 years working experience in field work

- Have very good communication and report writing skills

- Have high sense of responsibility, humor, be non- judgmental and able to take initiatives
- Be a team player and self-motivated
- Be able to work for long hours
- Have excellent human relationship skills and be youth friendly.
- Have the ability to source for information and initiate innovative strategies for enhanced performance
- Be able to work with little or no supervision
- Be able to travel at short notice
