Excavator Operator wanted for a Construction Project in Northern Ghana.

What You Will Do

• Operate the excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary.
• Work with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe on line and grade.
• Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade.
• Responsible for placement of water, storm and sanitary sewer pipe in the excavation.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• Drivers license E
• Mechanical skills –  have knowledge of how different types of machinery work, how to repair them, and how the different parts of the machine work together.
• Time management –  ability to complete work projects in an efficient manner and to strict schedules.
• Team work – exhibit professionalism, be polite and have strong interpersonal skills.
