Country Sales Manager

Overview

Our client is a well-known and established company, with operations in several African countries and has been in operation for well over 30 years. Their main focus, among many others, are within the Hygiene, Cleaning, Pest Control markets with international head offices are situated in Lusaka Zambia.
We are currently searching for a Country Sales Manager based in Accra Ghana. If you are looking for

What You Will Do

  1. Drive the sales direction and growth of an Established Sales team, Channel Partners and agents in Ghana.
  2. Design and execute a flexible sales plan/strategy that will grow the sales in the country and keep up with changes dictated by market changes, sales results, and other factors.
  3. Meet and exceed sales targets for all products and divisions in the Country.
  4. Ensure all group objectives and deadlines are met
  5. Ensure debtors are kept to a minimum and all outstanding debts are collected in time with invoice recons done weekly.
  6. Ensure branch operational costs are kept to a minimum to guarantee a low cost of sales
  7. Managing warehouse staff to ensure stock is managed
  8. ead the sales team in dealing with customers – sales, invoicing and debt collection
  9. Provide accurate weekly / monthly sales forecasts of expected orders for Ghana.
  10. Provide daily and weekly reports on sales, debt collection and overall branch performance
  11. Responsible for co-ordinating customer demonstrations, installations, and training with customers and sales teams
  12. Coach, train a high-performance team consisting of Product Specialists and Field Service Engineers in the assigned sales areas.
  13. Maintain the Stock requirements for Ghana warehoused in Accra to ensure minimum stock out situations
  14. Maintain set GP’s, profitability per business unit as per companies set targets.
  15. Maintain price lists to ensure countries overall profitability is maintained.
  16. Lead and motivate the entire Ghana team to drive customer satisfaction and sales excellence.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Minimum of a Degree in Sales & Marketing/ related field
  • Must have at least 3- 5 years managerial experience in a similar role
  • Must have over 8 years relevant experience in Sales
  • Proven experience in Managing a high-performance sale team
  • Sales experience in the Hygiene market will be beneficial to this position, including Food
    and beverage operations, Hotels, Hospitals, Building cleaning, Agriculture, Water treatment and
    Pest control
  • Must be energetic, motivated and show initiative
  • Proven ability to effectively operate and communicate in a matrix environment and work effectively with management, customers across business units and organizational boundaries
  • Successful track record with proven sales results
  • Must be able to lead and make clear financial decisions without supervision
  • Highly analytical and capable of analysing financial data
  • Ability to manage a multi-product, sales team, and network.

  • Result-oriented with a proven track record
