At Hujak Mining Limited Company , we believe in building strong, respectful, and lasting relationships with the communities where we operate. We are seeking a proactive and culturally sensitive Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to serve as the primary link between the company, local communities, and stakeholders. This role is essential in fostering trust, ensuring transparent communication, and supporting sustainable development initiatives.

What You Will Do

1. Act as the first point of contact between the company and host communities.
2. Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and residents.
3. Organize and participate in community meetings, consultations, and stakeholder forums.
4. Support the implementation of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
5. Handle community feedback, grievances, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
6. Provide regular updates to management on community issues, risks, and opportunities.
7. Collaborate with internal teams (EHS, HR, Operations) to ensure community needs are considered in decision-making.
8. Assist in developing programs that promote employment, education, health, and local business opportunities.
9. Ensure compliance with Ghana’s mining regulations and community engagement standards.
10. Perform any other duties related to community engagement as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Sociology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or CSR, preferably in the mining or extractive industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
• High integrity, empathy, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently to mining sites.
• Proficiency in local languages (in addition to English) is an advantage.
