Accounts and Administrative Officer

JOB SUMMARY 

Our client, a catering company that provides food services at remote sites for reputable organizations, is looking to hire an accounts and administrative officer. The ideal candidate will report to the Director and will handle both the financial and general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the business.

Location: East Airport and Spintex


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Invoicing and Payments: Preparing and sending out invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Budget Management: Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring expenses.
  • Reconciliations: Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Data Entry: Accurately entering financial data into accounting software. 
  • General Office Management: Managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Data Management: Maintaining and organizing files, both physical and digital.
  • Inventory Management: Assisting with the tracking and management of catering supplies and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant financial and administrative regulations.
  • Managing the petty cash and reconciling expenses.
  • Other duties: Performing other administrative tasks as required by the catering service. 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounting, or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of tax procedures and filing.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and accounting software programs.
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
  • Solid data entry skills and analytical abilities.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
