Employer Relations & Partnerships Manager

Job Description: 

The ideal candidate will deliver a great experience to our Fellows and employer partners. You will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaison internally. You must also possess excellent communication and interaction skills and be motivated and assertive. The fast-paced setting requires strong multitasking skills, reliability, and a desire to grow.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a strategic employer partnerships plan to expand job and internship opportunities for the Academy learners. 
  • Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with prospective employers aligned with our mission and learner profiles. 
  • Maintain and grow strong connections with existing employer partners, ensuring satisfaction and continued collaboration. 
  • Support Fellows by providing soft skills training, conducting mock interviews, and offering feedback to improve employability outcomes. 
  • Organize and participate in industry events, job fairs, and networking engagements to promote the Academy talent. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to highlight graduate success stories and partnership milestones. 
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that create value for both employers and learners. 
  • Monitor labor market trends and adjust partnership efforts to align with emerging workforce needs. 
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) for fully executed training and employment programs.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in employer relations, business development, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, workforce needs, and employer expectations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • Familiarity with educational institutions or workforce development programs is advantageous. 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
