Bistro Bliss Restaurant is urgently looking for a Chef/Cook to hire immediately.

Roles and Responsibilities As a Chef at Bistro Bliss Restaurant, you will be responsible for the following:

• Menu Planning: You will be in charge of planning the menu, recipe development, and assist in menu costing to enhance Bistro Bliss’s signature dishes and establish our competitive position Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to the highest quality standards, improve food taste, food safety and presentation. Ensure that food preparation processes are efficient to cut down customer waiting time.
• Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including food storage, inventory management, tracking stock levels, reorder levels and waste control.
• Team Management: Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to kitchen protocols, local and international health regulation.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in budgeting and cost control, ensuring kitchen operations are efficient, minimize wastage and reduce losses. Monitored budget to ensure that spending is within approved levels and budgeted items are actually expended on, and queries raised to understand mismatch/inconsistencies.
• Record keeping and Reports: You shall maintain accurate records of cooked and uncooked food items, indicating opening and closing balances, recording and accounting for daily sales. Prepare and submit a weekly report on stock, sales, and general kitchen activates.
• Marketing and Sales: Market and promote dishes to increase and solidify daily sales consistently by raking in orders, including event such as engagements, weddings, birthdays parties.
• Other Responsibilities: Your roles and responsibilities are not be limited to the above only. Bistro Bliss shall assign other responsibilities to you as necessary.
