Job Summary:

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our data analysis initiatives. You will work closely with our data team to gather, process, analyze, and visualize data to extract valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining data accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Preparation:
   • Assist in the collection of data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
   • Clean and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.
2. Data Analysis:
   • Assist in conducting statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
   • Generate reports and dashboards to present analytical findings.
3. Data Visualization:
   • Create clear and informative data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to communicate results effectively.
4. Data Quality Assurance:
   • Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and rectifying data discrepancies or errors.
5. Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for various projects.
6. Documentation:
   • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methods, and analysis processes.
7. Continuous Learning:
   • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and analytics tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma, or Certificate in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Certification in AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory but advantageous):

• Previous experience or internships in data analysis or a related field.
• Knowledge of data cleaning techniques and data preprocessing.
• Understanding of basic statistical concepts.
