PalmPay is a pan-African fintech company currently operating in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya and expanding to other markets in 2023. We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to get financial services (customer wallet solutions, digital lending, merchant acquisition, cross-border payments, etc.). As we scale to become Africa’s #kk,  1 payments brand, we are looking for  Sales Development Representatives to grow and expand our product presence on the market and build and preserve trusting relationships with merchants. We also expect you to be innovative, propose selling solutions, and be proactive in your work approach.

Responsibilities:

• Explore and onboard key merchants within your assigned territory and manage relationships with merchants.
• Communicate important company updates to the merchant under their supervision and ensure that the information is understood.
• Resolve transaction- and application-related issues for merchants.
• Escalate transaction issues, where necessary, to your superior.
• Ensuring merchants are empowered to meet targets.
• Research new market areas and distribute branding materials to merchants.
• Work closely with your team in visiting, interacting, and focusing on the client’s needs, proposing solutions, and where peculiar challenges are recorded, collecting feedback and properly reporting it to the Merchant City Manager in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Merchant City Manager to suggest and recommend new initiatives that could improve the merchant experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in merchant acquisition.
• Or 1 year of sales experience in industries like FMCGs, phones, TVs, or health and pharmaceuticals.
• Minimum of a high school certificate (SHS)
