We are urgently recruiting Technicians to work on a Water and Sanitation Project. The Project is funded by an International Organization.

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Water and Sanitation Technician will be responsible for the following duties:

• Locates viable water sources and abstraction points including surface (river, lake, steams) and ground water sources (wells, boreholes, infiltration galleries).
  Supervises drilling of wells and boreholes and construction of surface and subsurface water intakes.
• Installs, maintains, water supply systems, water treatment plants, water storage facilities, pumps, plants and controls panels of and other allied equipment.
• Installs, maintains, septic systems, sewerage network, sewage treatment plant, pumps, plants and controls panels of and other allied equipment.
• Coordinates scheduled maintenance on all the installations and equipment related to above.
• Performs emergency works and repairs of all above.
• Monitors the performance of water and waste water equipment and infrastructure in the field including boreholes, pumps, main supply, storage tanks, distribution networks and sewage systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in a related field
• Must have 3-5 years minimum experience
• Must have international setting work experience
