Overview

Eko Maintenance Limited is a rapidly growing Facility Management Company that specializes in maintenance of high rise building facilities with office located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

You will be installing and maintaining a range of alarm systems, analyzing blueprints and plans, and finding and repairing any malfunctions. Alarm technicians install and maintain fire and security alarm systems in people’s homes and at businesses. They test systems, locate and repair breakages and connection problems, and explain how the systems work to customers.

To ensure success as an alarm technician, you should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of safety codes and regulations, and experience with a variety of alarm systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair security and fire alarm systems (Both conventional and addressable systems)
• Inspect and test systems, batteries, and electrical wiring to make adjustments and repairs as required
• Replace malfunctioning hardware when necessary
• Ensure systems comply with electrical and fire codes
• Explain and demonstrate system function and operation to end users
• Perform other related duties as required
• Performing inspections and diagnosing any problems.
• Completing full installations.
• Travelling occasionally to customer locations.
• Reading, understanding, and following product manuals.
• Educating customers on care and maintenance.
• Writing service and status reports.
• Analyzing plans.
• Testing all features and equipment to ensure optimum functioning.

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum HND/OND educational degree
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Fire Alarm Technician using both conventional and addressable systems
