Overview

Project management officers are responsible for directing and managing a project from start to finish. They are accountable for their project outcomes and provide necessary support for project management teams to succeed. A PMO makes sure company procedures, practices and operations go right — on time, on budget and all in the same way. “PMOs are there to ensure project and program success, and that’s critical because organizations deliver value through projects and programs, A PM is an individual who manages projects. A PMO is a specialist team of experts in IT, planning, risk management, resourcing and related services that operate at enterprise level to ensure that all projects are run as effectively as possible.

Responsibilities/Functions

  • Organize periodic training and seminars
  • Day to day management of the project
  • Prepare regular progress reports
  • Weekly work update and progress report
  • Ensure projects outputs are achieved as identified in the project document Output/ Deliverables:
  • Develop an overall work plan and establish goals for the entire duration of the project.
  • Regular weekly and monthly updates to the senior coordinator by mail for the duration of the project.
  • Biannual interim report
  • Monthly observations and recommendations on the project execution and process
  • Delivery of final report (summary and financial)
  • Monitoring and controlling project performance.
  • Development of project management competencies and methodologies.
  • Multiproject management.
  • Strategic management.
  • Organizational learning.
  • Execute specialized tasks for project managers.
  • Manage customer interfaces.

Requirements/ Qualifications

  • Be below 27 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field from a recognized university.
  • 1 -3 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Excellent Communication and Organization skills
  • Excellence in project planning, implementation, and monitoring
  • Strong management skills including the ability to provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, build strong teams, manage budgets and project expenditure.
  • Must pay attention to details
  • Must reside in Lagos
