Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire a sales manager who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team. You will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople. Sales managers lead a sales team by providing guidance, training and mentorship, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, analyzing data, assigning sales territories and building their team. A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. In order to succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a sales team. Previous experience in a sales-related role is a plus.

Responsibilities/ Functions

  • Managing, training, and providing overall guidance to the sales merchandiser of an assigned areas
    setting reasonable sales targets to be achieved by the sales team.
  • Monitoring the performance of the sales team and motivating members to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Carrying out both primary and secondary sales
  • Collecting customer feedback and providing updates to senior management.
  • Meeting potential and existing customers within an assigned sales area to present company offerings and build brand awareness.
  • Utilizing outbound telephone calls, email communications, and face-to-face meetings with customers to close sales.
  • Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers.
  • Implementing a sales management process to assist the sales team in identifying and prioritizing key customers and prospects.

Requirements/ Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least B.Sc., HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant working experience in the FMCG Proven sales experience; sector-specific sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas, Wholesales experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical ans.

  • Previous experience in the territory is required problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills.
