Overview

The superintendent pharmacist is in overall control of the management of a pharmacy, including its professional and clinical management and management of the administration of the sale and supply of medicines, The Responsible Pharmacist is appointed by the pharmacy owner to be in charge in relation to the sale and supply of all medicines from the registered premises and a pharmacy cannot operate without one. He or she is responsible for the safe and effective running of the pharmacy

What You Will Do

• Facilitating contract manufacturing of products
• Facilitating businesses within the Pharmaceutical Industry in Nigeria
• Co-ordination of tenders for healthcare supplies
•  Co-ordination of clinical presentations and meetings with Private Sector clinics, Federal and State government Health institutions
• Co-ordination of imports of finished formulations and APIs
• Liaising with bodies such as the Pharmaceutical Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMGMAN), National Agency for Food Drugs Administration
  and Control (NAFDAC), Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Federal and State Ministries of Health, Customs and
  Excise Authorities
• Interface with multilateral and Development Agencies such as World HealthOrganization (WHO), West African Health Organization (WAHO), United Nation  Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Economic Community of WestAfrican States (ECOWAS), International Finance Corporation (IFC) & Centre for Development Enterprise (CDE) on Healthcare and Medicinal matters
• Other duties as assigned by Management & the Board

Requirement/ Qualifications

• The individual must have a working knowledge of product registration and import
  and export control requirements with regulatory agencies
• He/she must have a working relationship & or dealings with NAFDAC especially in
  the areas of product registration and importation
•  Be MS Office proficient & computer literate
•  Be willing to work as part of a team & able to work well under pressure with minimum
  supervision
•  Must have good leadership qualities.
•  Must have good communication skills.
• Bpharm or Pharm D degree from any recognized
  institution
• Minimum Experience Minimum of 8 years experience as a full time
  Superintendent Pharmacist in a pharmaceutical
• manufacturing environment and be registered with
  the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
