Supply Chain Manager-Multinational Company

About Company:

Founded in 1993, our client is a leader in the retail and supply of furniture in Africa. The company has a retail shop area of more than 50,000m2, 33 points of sale with more than 1,000 employees and 2 stores in sub-Saharan Africa. Ghana is the latest addition and Accra is the starting city.


What You Will Do

  1. Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).
  2. Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  3. Handling relations between commercial sections and purchasing service in home country (outside Ghana).
  4. Create the company’s supply chain strategy
  5. Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
  6. Evaluate and report on KPIs
  7. Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
  8. Maintain supply chain inventory and records

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Minimum of a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
  • Must have a valid passport since initial training outside Ghana is required.
  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager in the retail or in a similar field would be a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP MM)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving
  • A strategic and analytical mind
  • Ability to speak French would be an added advantage
