Job Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire a sales manager who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team. You will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.

A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. In order to succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a sales team. Previous experience in a sales-related role is a plus. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the growth of revenue in the region. To this end, the Manager is responsible for implementing sales strategy leading to the conversion of airtime into reloads in the region. he/She will be responsible for delivering zonal key performance indicators (revenue, reloads, distribution, sales) and grow market share.The role is based at Hohoe in the Oti Region

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the distribution of Vodafone airtime in the Region.
  • Responsible for ensuring distributors, DSAs and Associate Distributors comply with Vodafone’s distribution key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for acquisitions (Mobile, VF Cash, SOHO & Fixed) and acquisition revenues from the Region.
  • Ensure that subscriber growth targets for the region are met working with freelancers and retailers.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing the various channels for acquisitions.
  • Responsible for the achievement of all VF Cash distribution KPIs (float & liquidity management and active agents).
  • Deliver training on product knowledge to agents prior to launch and then on a need-to basis thereafter
  • Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
  • Meeting planned sales goals.
  • Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
  • Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
  • The ongoing training of your salespeople.
  • Developing your sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
  • Promoting the organization and products.
  • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, commerce, Finance, marketing or other related subjects.
  • 3 or more years of experience sales and Distribution jobs or other related fields
  • FMCG or Telecommunication Sales experience is an added advantage
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to work in any part of the Country and be able to adapt rapidly to the assigned regions
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Ability to lead a sales team.
