A reputable resort is looking to employ a Lead Culinary Instructor to work with.

What You Will Do

1. Execute all responsibilities of a Chef Instructor
2. Serve as proxy for the Executive Chef when duty requires
3. Assist with scheduling of instructors and provide coverage for instructor absences or requested time off
4. Assist Executive Chef in performing kitchen observations and providing instructor feedback/coaching
5. Assist Executive Chef in completing kitchen performance evaluations
6. Play a key role in the orientation process of new cooks/chefs toward understanding of teaching methods, processes, and policies.
7. Retention – Assist with the resorts’ retention initiatives by identifying “at risk” employee and relaying this information to the Executive Chef and/or individual directly responsible for employee retention
8. Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements
9. Other duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

• A minimum of a Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field
• 5 years of industry work experience directly related to culinary arts.
• 2 years of supervisory role experience in the same industry/field
