Head, Distribution at KGHL

Kaiser Global Health Ltd. (KGHL) is a private commercial health insurance company fully licensed to operate as per the National Health Insurance Law 2012, Act 852 by the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). KGHL specializes in providing comprehensive and competitive insurance for all categories of people; corporate organizations / institutions with their staff and dependents, families and for individuals.

Objective: To oversee and provide sales support to KGHL in the areas of determining sales techniques, advertising and market penetration with sales team to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed set goals and also oversee the health service provider department activities/work. This is a full time position for a Ghanaian national/resident. This role may require extensive travels.

Position Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and determine sales technique, advertising and market penetration with sales team;
  • Promote Organization and reaffirm corporate image through ad hoc events and incorporate image into sales effort;
  • Design or contribute to marketing strategies and implement regional sales plans, write presentations, reports, price quotations and support contract negotiations;
  • Manage KGHL’s sales and HSP team in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed set goals;
  • Oversee overall sales and health service provider departments works or any assigned departments and provide feedbacks to supervisor through to management.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly department goals;
  • Develop training for new department and existing staff where needed;
  • Develop and review both short and long term strategies for the effectiveness of both departments;
  • With assistant from Human Resource Department, coordinate, monitor, and review the performance of all department staff and Agents to ensure the achievement of corporate sales performance targets as well as monitoring team performances and provide feedback for improvements;
  • Evaluate appropriate new techniques to ensure proper accreditation or signing up of health facilities;
  • Ensure orientation for all new clients and continual education for all old Kaiser Clients are done and properly documented;
  • Present weekly/monthly/quarterly report of activities detailed in the format approved by employer to supervisor through to management for decision making;
  • Oversee the sales activities of the Organization’s products/services;
  • Participate in the interview and recruitment process when the need arises for the Organization’s sales and HSP department;
  • Design cross selling campaigns, programs and guide sales personnel to ensure effectiveness of cross selling activities;
  • Manage and direct sales force for the achievement of sales goals;
  • Design sales programs for assigned team members;
  • Evaluate appropriate new sales techniques and ensure its implementation in order to increase sales volume of the Organization;
  • Liaison with Operations department to address and provide guidance with issues relating to sales and HSP department;
  • Make recommendations on product enhancements for improved sales potential and service enhancements for improved client confidence and satisfaction ; and
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

The Head, Distribution must have a University degree in an analytical or business-related field of study; relevant majors include Sales, Marketing, Statistics, and Business Administration. Master’s degree is to an advantage.

Additional qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years/ more professional working experience in a Competitive business environment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Knowledge of basic economic and business concepts, and be able to design and implement both short-term and long-term business strategies;
  • Ability to establish and prioritize team sales objectives;
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to lead a team;
  • Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver’s license with accident free record;
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines; and
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
