Overview

Maybert Engineering Company limited is into the sale, installation and servicing of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment. the company is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to head its Finance department.

What You Will Do

  • Accurate and Timely recording of Financial data in their respective books.
  • Accurate and Timely Invoicing of Client accounts. Timely Distribution of invoicing. Collect all debts for the months in which they are due.  Implement an intensive credit control system.
  • Scrutinize client invoices and negotiate prices before payment.
  • Manage the resources of the company for profitability. Advise top management on best financial strategies in every given situation.
  • Review equipment price build up frequently. Supervise the activities of company stores.
  • Project Accounting: Negotiate Project contracts. Manage Project accounts for maximum return and report to management on returns on projects.
  • Prepare an annual budget to guide business expenditure and revenue generation plans.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls policies to the later.
  • Liase with vendors and suppliers for import processing. Implement prudent stock management practices in the company’s stores.
  • Laize with; GRA for filing and payment of tax returns and other taxes, and another financial stakeholder to the company.
  • Identify the financial risk to the organization and advise management on the necessary steps to avoid them.
  • Prepare weekly reports for discussion with the MD, Prepare bank reconciliation statements and cashfllow statements. Prepare financial accounts at the end of each accounting year.
  • Maintain a positive ratio of trade account receivables to account payables.
  • To set performance target for direct reports and appraise their performance.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Bsc. in Administration, Account option.
  • A member of a certified accounting body. Preferably ICA/ACCA/CA Part2.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a financial management position.
  • Successful candidate should have strong skills in; Professionalism, Business ethics, Stakeholder relationship management, Corporate reporting, Sustainable management accounting, Financial management, Interpersonal Skills and people management skills.
