A company is seeking for a highly analytical and detail-orientated cost analyst to join our finance department. You will be responsible for preparing statements and reports, overseeing audit files, attending meetings to provide financial feedback, and training employees in cost management methods.

As a cost analyst, you will possess an in-depth knowledge of accounting and cost-management systems, as well as basic computer software. The successful candidate will also be an excellent communicator, with superb presentation and problem . As a Costing Specialist, you will perform a dedicated costing process & activities within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and according to best costing practices so as to provide accurate, quality and specialist support in terms of cost analysis and insights of costing variances and benchmarking for decision making.

Job Description

The role of a cost analyst is to examine and manage the expenses of a company. These highly-analytical specialists study a company’s costs and report analysis to management. Their main tasks include tracking project budgets, establishing product costs, and analyzing changes in company costs. To excel as a Costing Specialist , you need to possess a good critical thinking skill, an acceptable digital skill, exhibit good collaborative and communication skill and an excellent service delivery mindset. The ability to effectively work as a team member, proactivity and analytical skills with strong organizational and planning skills

Job Functions/ Responsibilities

•  Maintain costing master data and uploading/inputting of costing data and parameters in the SAP planning system for subsequent costing processes.
• Recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes.
• When necessary, offer analytical support for departmental projects.
• Coordinate with management to ensure cost forecasting reports are consistently checked and applied.
• Monitor and document actual and estimate reports.
• Stay up-to-date on project budgets and project spending.
• Examine data to help with reducing costs in all operations.
• Analyze the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks.
• Contribute to developing yearly operation plans, budgets, and estimating new product costs, including economic analysis.
• Give suggestions for money-saving strategie
•  Perform standard product cost calculations for costing and budget revisions.
•  Perform transfer price calculations (Adhoc and quarterly), establishing a breakdown of price movements, trends, and benchmarking.
•  Execute cost analysis to support the selling prices review process.
•  Be performing periodic end closing for costing activities.
•  Prepare monthly Factory “Cost of Goods Sold” (COGS) variances and consolidate reports.

Job Qualification/Requirement

• Prior experience as Costing or Decision Support Analyst
• Good knowledge in SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools especially Excel and Power Bi.
• Experience in Manufacturing & Other Costing functions in the FMCG Industry
• Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / IT / Business Solution or similar qualification
• Minimum Relevant work experience 2 years prior experience as Costing Analyst (Costing Center of Competence or Factory Costing) or Decision Support Analyst/ Specialist.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Superb communication and presentation skills.
• Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline-oriented environment.
