A reputable company in the Energy Sector has vacancy for Accounts Officer.

Essential Functions

• Prepare and post relevant journals into the financial system
• Prepare and submit monthly and yearly statutory returns, thus Pay as You Earn (PAYE), VAT and Withholding Tax
• Liaise with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to obtain the necessary certificate required
• Preparation of bank-wired payment instruction and its corresponding documentations required
• Assist with completing year and month-end journals
• Support external audit process
• Provide support to the Finance Manager and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all finance and accounting tasks
• Assist other staff as required and provide backup support or job coverage for team members during staff leave of adsence
• Undertake other duties in line with assigned position

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Professional qualification: CA (GH) Part 1 or 2/ACCA (Strategic level)
• At least 1 to 2 years working experience in accounting and finance-related task
• IT/Software Experience: Working knowledge in MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planning applications
• Must be a strong team player, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periods
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Willing to adapt quickly to changes in direction
